Green Recovery Academy

A safe place in nature to catch your breath and find direction at your own pace.
Hòfi Kòrsou is more than just a place. Our hòfi represents community, history, and growth. At Green Recovery Space, it's a garden where people can recover and flourish.

Recovery Academy

🌿

What is a recovery academy?

The recovery acadamy is an open, safe space where you can work on your recovery in your own way and at your own pace. It's not a care facility, but a place to relax, discover what helps you, and find your way back step by step.

🌱

Who is it for?

For anyone who needs space for recovery, balance, and connection. You don't need a diagnosis and you're not committed to anything. You're welcome just the way you are.

🛠️

What can you do there?

You can participate in activities, training sessions, or self-help methods, or just be there. Meet, learn, practice, or even do nothing. Everything is allowed, nothing is required.

🌞

What does it add beyond care?

The recovery workshop connects with daily life. It offers a place to practice what you learn, to strengthen self-management, and to shape recovery outside of the treatment setting.

What can you expect?

Peace & Security

A place where you don't have to prove anything. Plenty of space, surrounded by nature, and dedicated to your process.

Grow at your own pace

We offer support through activities, a rhythm, and attendance without obligations or performance pressure.

Meeting

You'll meet others who are also working on recovery. Meeting is free of charge: participate, listen, or simply take a moment for yourself.

Light structure

We offer a sense of structure through activities, rhythm, and presence. Without obligations or pressure to perform.

How do we work?

Recovery is about finding direction in your life again, in a way that suits you. Not by reducing symptoms, but by restoring hope, personal strength, and purpose.

Within the Green Recovery Space, we work from this recovery-oriented perspective, with strong attention to the Caribbean context and the power of lived experience.

Experience-Based Expertise
We work with trained lived experience experts: people who have faced difficult periods in their own lives and found ways to recover. They use that experience to offer understanding, guidance, and hope to others who may be going through similar challenges. Experience is just as valuable as professional knowledge within Green Recovery Space.
Education & Structured Self-Help
We offer practical courses, workshops, and tools that help people better understand their mental well-being and recovery. This includes learning about stress, emotions, resilience, and daily balance. Our activities are designed to be accessible and useful in everyday life, without requiring previous knowledge or formal care. Program & Registration
Peer Support
Recovery often becomes easier when people feel understood by others. At Green Recovery Space, participants can meet others who have experienced similar struggles and who understand what it means to feel stuck. Through shared experiences, people can find recognition, encouragement, and connection.
Free of diagnosis, voluntary and safe
You do not need a diagnosis, referral, or formal registration to join Green Recovery Space. Participation is voluntary, and everyone is welcome at their own pace. We focus on creating a respectful, safe, and non-judgmental environment where people can explore what supports their recovery.

What it is (and what it isn't)

The Green Recovery Space is not a replacement for regular care, but a supplement to it. For many people, this is a valuable addition to therapy, guidance, or other forms of care. Sometimes before, sometimes during, and sometimes after a care program. But even without a care program, you are very welcome at Green Recovery Space.

For intensive or acute care needs, we are happy to discuss with you what is appropriate and where you can go.
